Offset Printing vs PhotocopyingWould you drive a Camry if you could get a Lexus for the same price. Would you eat a big mac if a Kobe beef dinner was a little cheaper? Trackmaster does not photocopy documents (xerography) but only uses the much higher quality process of digital offset printing on our HP Indigo. View funny explanatory videos on the advantage of HP indigo technologies here and here. Business document services such as Kinkos, Minuteman Press, and Sir Speedy generally use only xerography when making copies for their customers. Not only do they use an inferior printing method but they also use rail thin cheap paper (24 lb or 28 lb) and do not even offer the highest quality 100 lb semigloss that Trackmaster uses on all its printing. But don't take our word for it - read about it in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia: here is the link for offset printing and here is the link for xerography. |
